Proposal and reporting home

This intranet is for project proposal and reporting purposes. For the year three proposal cycle beginning July 1 2008, all projects must be updated and PI-reviewed by Wednesday May 21. After that, the PIs and SynBERC Management will review the proposals and announce funding on Friday June 6 for a July 1 project start date. If you're a part of the SynBERC community but your project isn't directly funded by SynBERC, please enter your project(s) anyway so that we can collaborate and report as broadly as possible.

HOW TO USE THE SITE:

1. First, enter and update projects. Anyone who entered projects last time can log in with their email address and see their projects by clicking the 'Projects' link on the left. (If you're new to the site, please create a new account.) Each project is owned by the email login of the person who entePIred it. There are a number of new required fields that, if not completed, will prevent the project from appearing in the PI's list of projects to be reviewed and submitted (#2 below). Of particular importance is the accomplishments section that allows us to look at the progress.

2. Second, PIs review the updated projects. PIs will see a link to the 'PI panel' in the left navbar. From there, PIs must set FTE and funding source for projects. Again, projects won't appear in the PI review queue unless they've been updated.

3. Anyone can view any project, but only the project owner or the designated PI can update a given project.
